This popular group meets on a designated day in the third week of each month. Days vary to ensure that all members will have the opportunity to join us when they can. The Group co-ordinator keeps an overview of each month's visit but it is expected that individual members take a turn in deciding the venue, collecting members' menu choices and confirming those with the venue, organising transport and ensuring that the bill is paid!
Venues are generally within a 20 mile radius of Sedgefield and vary between pubs, hotels and restaurants. During the Covid summers of 2020 and 2021 we even managed to keep meeting by organising picnics in a local park - suitably spaced, of course!
Our annual Christmas Lunch is always very well attended with the majority of members attending at a favourite Sedgefield pub. And, of course, seasonally attired in glitzy tops, Christmas Jumpers or festive shirt, tie or waistcoat!
Thanks to our AAP transport grant we offer free transport to all members attending a Lunch Group outing. This year, we have visited a wide range of venues across the County and have really enjoyed tasting some lovely food and sampling some different wines etc, too.
